Arbor Medic believes that each property is unique and there is not a one size fits all. Our arborists are trained to create a treatment plan to fit your budget and needs.
Arbor Medic recommends trimming of fruit trees in the fall. If fruit trees are pruned before the cooler temperature, it could stress out the tree and cause it to die. All other trees/shrubs can be trimmed at any point of the year.
Arbor Medic recommends 3 lawn spray treatments throughout summer. This ensures the best possible weed control while replenishing your lawn with vital nutrients in our proprietary blend fertilizer.

You are! It is important to make sure trees are stable and able to withstand weather conditions This can prevent any damage happening in the future.
At Arbor Medic we will do everything in our power to save a tree. However sometimes the damage is beyond our control and removal is recommended. When a tree becomes a hazard or is beyond the point of surviving we may recommend removal.
Arbor Medic has their own tree farm with spruce trees that we sell to customers. If a customer would like another kind of tree we have recommendations for who to contact.
Bozeman has a variety of bugs that can harm your trees. Depending on how much damage is done, we may be able to recommend a spray treatment plan to save the trees.
The most common bugs we have in the valley are:
Aphids: Tiny bugs typically found on aspens, ash, oak and fruit trees. These bugs suck nutrients from the trees leaves and stems. This causes discoloration, poor growth, leaf curling and yellowing of the tree.
Borers: Borers, which look like beetles, will dig holes into the bark of your trees. If the tree is not too damaged we can recommend a treatment. If the damage has gone past the point of saving and caused immense thinning of trees removal may be necessary.
Spring and fall are the best time to plant trees. You do not want the temperatures getting too hot or too cold to where the root system is stressed and unable to survive. Spring and fall provide the ideal temperatures for a tree to survive.
There are multiple ways to tell if a tree is sick, these include:

Around the valley we see many trees having a slow bloom after tough winters. This doesn’t necessary mean there is something wrong with your tree but more so it’s taking a while to “wake up” if snowfall has been gone for 2+ months please call us to check the tree.
A few great reasons to have trees on your property are improved air quality, increased property value, reduces flooding and shade from the sun.
Arbor Medic recommends keeping all pets, kids and yourself off of the treated area until dry, typically 3 hours. Once the product is dry it is safe to resume normal life.
